NCFREE’s Partisan District Scores are a tool that provides a snapshot of the partisanship of all 120 state House districts and all 50 state Senate districts in North Carolina. The scores measure the approximate advantage one party has over another in each district. For example, if we provide a score of R+6, we would expect a generic Republican candidate to win over a Democratic candidate 53 to 47 percent. Our score does not take into account how much these districts may have shifted additionally since the last election, but rather look backwards at what has occured in the district most recently.
